Chiropractic Care Treatments

Acute Care

Acute treatment is designed to relieve specific musculosketal pain or loss of motion. This could result from injury, over use, poor posture, genetic conditions and several other causes.

Acute care is similar to rehabilitation, in that it refers to a specific condition causing pain, discomfort or lack of motion. The goal is to provide pain relief, restore range of motion and regain quality of life. Depending on the severity of the condition acute care can take as little as a couple visits or several over the course of a couple months.

Most common reasons for acute care: car accidents, sports injuries, over use and work related accidents.

Preventative Maintenance

Preventative care ensures that your spine is properly aligned and joints have full range of motion. This occasional care prevents inflammation and nerve impingement that happens over the course of our lives. This is the equivalent of a regular check up in which problems are caught early or prevented all together.

Preventative care is recommended for those who wish to maintain their current mobility and quality of life.

Spinal Decompression Therapy

This non-surgical treatment is designed to relieve pressure on the intervertebral discs between each vertebra. The technique stretches the spine allowing the discs to recover from chronic compression. As a result of the stretching the damaged or bulging discs are allowed to revert to their natural posture. It also improves circulation of nutrient rich spinal fluid to the affected discs.

Cold Laser Therapy

Also known as low level laser therapy (LLLT), this technique uses light to stimulate soft tissue regeneration. Cells in the focus area receive red and near-infrared light and creating a physiological response that promotes regeneration. The procedure is non-invasive and you’ll feel no heat or vibration.

Cold laser therapy is commonly used to treat minor soft tissue injuries including: arthritis, tendonitis, muscle strains, ligament sprains, bursitis and contusions.
